ecently, our youth group had a blast giving Joseph Furno, our Student Ministry Pastor, an unforgettable makeover. This hilarious event was the grand finale after a series of team competitions that brought everyone closer through some seriously fun and goofy challenges.
The buildup to Pastor Joe's new look involved all sorts of activities on Sunday nights. Our kids really leaned into the fun, competing in everything from quirky guessing games to active relay races. These weren't just games; they were about making memories and strengthening our community bonds.
At the end of our competition series, the high school girls team snagged the most points and chose to give Pastor Joe a wild new style. They had full creative control over his beard but had to leave his hair untouched. With a mix of mischief and creativity, they trimmed his beard unevenly, dyed his mustache pink, and even added a purple checkered pattern on his cheek.
Pastor Joe sported this colorful new look with a good-natured laugh, showing just how much he's willing to join in the fun. His makeover was more than just a humorous highlight; it symbolized the joyful and creative spirit of our youth ministry.
This whole experience was a perfect example of how we like to mix serious community building with a good dose of fun, making sure everyone feels right at home and part of the family.
